Meeting with representatives of the French organization Mehad - a step towards high-quality rehabilitation of defenders of Ukraine

On April 28, 2025, representatives of the NGO "All-Ukrainian Association of Trauma Surgery and Rehabilitation" held a working meeting with the coordinator of the French humanitarian organization Mehad (mehad.fr) Natalia Sobko, who actively supports medical aid projects in crisis regions.

The main topic of the meeting was improving the training of Ukrainian specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine (PRM), as well as rehabilitation specialists, with an emphasis on developing skills in acute rehabilitation of military personnel after combat injuries and surgical interventions on the limbs.

As part of the visit, patients were examined in the orthopedic and traumatology department and the rehabilitation department of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 8, where the participants were able to familiarize themselves with real clinical cases, discuss the needs of patients, as well as the prospects for implementing modern rehabilitation approaches. The possibilities of a joint educational program, trainings and practical support for Ukrainian specialists in partnership with the French side were discussed.

NGO "VAKHP" continues to work on integrating international experience into Ukrainian medical practice in order to restore the health of those who need it most.
